Last Poast

We are all toast so here, before you go, is some last poast.

I don't do goodbyes. A goodbye is a recognition that time will pass between two people. It represents a clean break. I like the idea of just disappearing from someone's life, never to be heard of again. Likewise, I like occasionally stopping to wonder what they're up to or where they are with no real bookend to their story. Goodbye kills.

That being said, I hope you all live lives filled with much rememberance and die deaths that make it all worth it. If I see you again I'll try to remember your name. If I don't, I apologize now and will buy you a drink then. If you don't drink by that point than we'll do coffee. This was a good class, but the class was really just a capitulation of all our classes we have had as peers. Hell even then, a lot of you I don't even know. This is a shame- so it goes.

It's bittersweet to say goodbye, so might as well skip that part and get to the remembering. Although, if at some point you see a corpulent Asian messing around on a Fiddle and telling caustic jokes, I hope you remember me. And if it is me, go ahead and say hi. Also, leave a tip.
